Vacuum flask (Thermos) free vintage clip art

I think that in many countries have already become cold (but not in Israel, I still enjoy sun and sea :-) ), so I hope this vintage Thermos clip art would warm up your soul.

Vintage vacuum flask (Termos) free clip art

More than 100 years ago Thermos used to be called a Dewar flask or Dewar bottle after its inventor  Scottish physicist and chemist Sir James Dewar. He invented it in 1892, but in 1904 lost a court case in claiming the rights to the invention to German company, Thermos GmbH, who started commertial production of vacuum flasks by the brand name "Thermos".

Retro photo camera clip art

One more of my vintage illustrations: this time shabby-looking old fashioned retro photo camera. Illustration is based on my father's old Fujifilm finepix x100 camera. I had never used  this camera, I prefer instant digital photos. I can't imaging paying on each and every photo, just to see it. But I like vintage things and vintage clip art and I enjoy to share my finds.

So, be my guest, download and feel free to use it in any of your craft projects. If you prefer vector, this retro camera vector clip art can be found here.

Vintage cutlery clip art: spoon, fork and knife

vintage antique cutlery fork clip artvintage antique cutlery knife clip art

Vintage cutlery clip art: royal silver spoon, fork and knife with big gems at the handles. The earliest English reference about silver cutlery appears to be in a will of 1259. Brasspewter, and latten spoons appear to have been common in about the 15th century, before this, domestic medieval spoons were made of cow horn or wood.

I see this antique cutlery clip art on a thank you card or dinner invitation. It may look even more interesting if you place vintage plate clip art between them.

Blue Gillette Blades Vintage Ad

Blue Gillette Blades vintage advertisement from 1951.
"All over the world good morning begin with Gillette". Seems like even then Gillette blades were the best: "Because the sharpest edge in the world is set to exactly the wright shaving angle in a Gillette Razor".

The design of blades box looks so vintage, I can't believe it's from 1951.

Vintage cup and saucer clip art

Seems like this vintage cup and saucer used to belong to some royal family. You can place your monogram instead of royal and invite friends to your tea party with a great style.

Austin Motor vintage ad

This vintage Austin car ad comes from my "The Countryman" magazine, autumn 1951 edition. The illustration featuring street and Austin car is absolutely beautiful. I have only one problem with this ad: why there is no model name. I'm not a big  expert in vintage cars, but according to wikipedia Austin models list, this one looks like post World War Two Austin A120 Princess and was produced from 1947 to 1956.

The ad says "Austins are ahead". What an irony, back in 1951 they had no idea that marque Austin will be used only until 1987. After 1987 the Austin cars continued to be manufactured, but under the model name and without Austin badge.
